My, hasn’t this been quite the un-summer. Well, here’s a little unique perspective on wakeboarding up at Alouette Lake: summer fun despite the many days of cloudy skies.

Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows PMSC United U15 Silver team is representing our community at the Conference Cup in Coquitlam. They’ve already taken 1st place in the division Cup and 1st place in the District Cup. Cheer them on this weekend!
Maple Ridge Equi-Sports Center is located at 21973 132 Ave, in a charming and historic part of Maple Ridge. The facility, just like the area, is decorated with ornamental trees set against the backdrop of our local mountains. For the local equestrian, it’s great to have a place like this in our own backyard. MREC boasts many enormous sand riding rings, grass riding ring, indoor arena, cross-country course, and accommodations for up to 200 horses. It’s also home to the Ranch Pub and Grill, with a classic pub menu, daily specials and Karaoke.
Many events are hosted here throughout the show season, and through the winter. This past weekend MREC was host to BC Horse Trials Octoberfest competition, where riders and horse compete over two days at three different equestrian activities: dressage, cross-Country and stadium jumping.
