Whenever I talk about a good book I’ve read, someone always asks me ” Where did you buy it?”.

My usual answer? I didn’t, I borrowed it from the library. It’s really simple. I search for books online at the Fraser Valley Regional Library website, and order them to the Maple Ridge branch. They send me an email when they are ready to be picked up, and I stop in and check them out. It’s as easy as buying from the bookstore.

This Saturday, March 26th, the Maple Ridge Library is celebrating their 10 year anniversary

Stop by and enjoy a variety of events from 10 am to 5 pm:

and enjoy a sneak peak of The Emerald Pig Theater’s production of “Anne” from Anne of Green Gables.

Maple Ridge Public Library resumes opening Sundays this upcoming Sunday, Sept 12. In case you haven’t used a library in a long time (like me), you will be pleased to know that all of your book searches and requests for books can be done directly at the Fraser Valley Library Region’s website. Simply go to the Maple Ridge branch, get your library card and your PIN, then return home to the comfort of your computer to begin madly searching for all the books you’ve wanted to read, but didn’t want to spend the money on. When the book is availabe, FVRL will send you an email notifying that you have 7 days to pick up your book at your local branch. Then, you can drive to the Maple Ridge Library, park in the 15 minute parking zone, run in and check your book out at the computer operating checkout! LOVE IT!
