Albion Crosswalk Petition Going to Council

by Andrea
November 17th, 2011

Albion Elementary desperately needs a crosswalk, and I’m not just saying this because my little one goes there.  This is for all residents of East Maple Ridge who travel through the 240th and Lougheed area during school hours. Not only is the lack of the crosswalk frustrating to parents, but it’s a hazard for drivers.  I know how easy it is to run through a crosswalk when it’s poorly marked.

So,  help out the Albion PAC by signing this petition.  They’ll be  taking it with them for their presentation to our new council on November 22.  This is important. Print it, sign it and drop it off in the lobby of the school.

Or scan it and email it directly to me at andrea@mymapleridge.ca, and I will drop them off at the school. The download link is right below

Pitt Meadows Youth Park Opening

by Andrea
November 13th, 2011

Had the pleasure of attending the official opening and ribbon cutting of the new Pitt Meadows Youth Action Park.  It’s a really cool park- but I was afraid to walk down the walls into, let alone do something like this.

Thanks Travis for showing us that back flip.
